- Serves 4
- Made with Deli Rye Pepper
Now serving: your bagels. One block of cream cheese plus one tablespoon of Deli Rye, and your kitchen smells like the deli on a Sunday morning.
Serves: 4 · Prep: 10 min · Cook: 3 min · Total: 13 min
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tbsp Deli Rye Pepper
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh chives
- 1 Tbsp milk
- 4 bagels, split and toasted
- Optional toppings: sliced tomato, cucumber, thin red onion
Steps
- Beat the cream cheese, Deli Rye, chives and milk with a spoon or hand mixer until fluffy.
- Let it sit 5 minutes so the caraway and onion can wake up.
- Spread thick on toasted bagels and top with tomato, cucumber or red onion if you like.
- Keep leftovers covered in the fridge up to 5 days.
A word on salt
No added salt. Deli Rye has flaky salt in the blend, and cream cheese brings its own.
Swap it
Come springtime, stir in Garden Herb Pepper for a garden-herb schmear, plus a pinch of salt.
Deli Rye contains sesame.
