A shrimp boil is the ultimate pile-it-on-the-table meal. Crazy Cajun goes in the pot and on top, so every bite has a kick.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb small red potatoes, halved
- 4 ears corn, cut into thirds
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into 2-inch pieces
- 2 lb large shrimp, shell on
- Crazy Cajun: about 1/4 cup for the pot, plus more for tossing
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
- 2 lemons, cut into wedges
Steps
- Fill a large stockpot about halfway with water, stir in 1/4 cup Crazy Cajun and bring to a boil.
- Add the potatoes and cook 12 to 15 minutes, until almost tender.
- Add the corn and sausage and cook 5 minutes more.
- Add the shrimp and cook 2 to 3 minutes, just until pink and opaque. Drain well.
- Mix the melted butter with a few shakes of Crazy Cajun, pour over everything and toss. Dump it all onto a lined table or big platter and serve with lemon wedges.
