Let's get cooking
Steakhouse Steak Frites
A hard sear, a crisp pile of fries and a steakhouse crust you can pull off on a Tuesday.
- 30 min
- Serves 2
- Made with Prime Perfection
Prime Perfection was made for steak night. A generous coat before searing gives you that steakhouse-style crust without any fuss.
Ingredients
- 2 ribeye or New York strip steaks, about 1 inch thick
- Prime Perfection, for seasoning
- 1 tablespoon high-heat oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed
- 1 bag frozen fries (or your favorite homemade fries)
Steps
- Take the steaks out of the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking. Pat them dry and season both sides well with Prime Perfection.
- Bake the fries according to the package directions.
- Heat the oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat until it just starts to smoke. Sear the steaks 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until they're cooked to your liking.
- In the last minute, add the butter and garlic and spoon the melted butter over the steaks.
- Rest the steaks 5 minutes, then slice and serve with the fries. Give the hot fries a light shake of Prime Perfection too.
Make it your own
Prime Perfection works just as well on pork chops, chicken thighs and roasted potatoes.
